Greenberg Gross Files Lawsuit Against Santa Margarita Catholic High School Over Alleged Attack on Student-Athlete by Teammates 🧑‍⚖️‍📝
Greenberg Gross has filed a lawsuit against Santa Margarita Catholic High School on behalf of a 15-year-old sophomore football player who was ambushed and attacked by teammates in the school’s locker room. During the incident, the student was tackled, held down by several players, and subjected to a violent assault of a sexual nature, while other players cheered and banged on lockers. This unprovoked attack is described as part of a pattern of unchecked aggression within the football program that the administration has allegedly allowed to persist, despite repeated instances of similar incidents affecting other students. In an email sent directly to our client, Principal Cheri Wood acknowledged that “at least nine” students were subjected to similar incidents.
