With all the beauty brought by spring and the warming sun, plant life is abound and with it comes an increase in insect activity. Some of these new insects will only be here for a short time like crane flies that are flying pollinators that are often mistaken for gigantic mosquito or mosquito hawks. These occasional invaders may make there way into the home by accident through an open door or window but will pose no harm as they are only looking for pollen. Other beetles will be emerging as well and if you ever have a question about what insect you are seeing feel free to take a picture or keep a specimen for us to inspect and ID.
