Is Liquid Aeration as Good as Mechanical Core Aeration?
Traditionally, lawns have been mechanically core aerated. Mechanical core aeration is not as effective as Liquid Aeration as it does not penetrate as deeply into the soil. For this reason, GrassRoots uses and recommends Liquid Aeration.
Liquid Aeration is a necessary part of maintaining a healthy lawn. Liquid Aeration creates microscopic holes deep in the soil that act as sponges to absorb nutrients and retain water.
Further, Liquid Aeration provides coverage for the entire lawn. Up to half of the lawn will not access or absorb sufficient water and fertilizer. Only the holes made by mechanical core aeration will have access to the nutrients and oxygen. As it does not physically disrupt the lawn, Liquid Aeration can be done any time of the year without damage to emerging grass.
