Pakoras are spiced fritters appetiser which are made by coating ingredients in a spiced batter, then deep frying them. The batter is usually made with gram flour {or a mixture of gram flour and rice flour or buckwheat. The spices used in the batter include fresh and dried spices such as chilli, fenugreek and coriander. The ingredients can be variations of diced chicken, onion, eggplant, potato, chili pepper, spinach, paneer, cauliflower, mint, plantain, baby corn, arbi root and leaves.
