Jury Trial Results - October/November 2018.

Over the last two months, Graham Walker Solicitors have achieved a plethora of enviable results in the criminal courts in and around Glasgow. In most cases, we have achieved acquittals for our clients which most would have called unlikely at best.

On 25th October 2018, our Jennifer Reid, Solicitor, secured an acquittal for our client, John Carrick, who was accused of several firearms charges. Miss Reid successfully persuaded the jury that the Crown had failed to prove that Mr Carrick owned, or even knew of, the firearms and successfully argued that Mr Carrick was not even in the country during the period within which the offences allegedly took place. On 26 October, our Ian Sievwright, Managing Partner at Graham Walker Solicitors, secured a Not Proven verdict for our client charged with a serious assault and robbery.

On 23rd October, our Ian Sievwright secured an acquittal for our client who had been charged with masked robbery in Greenock. Following inconclusive identification, a height analysis being carried out which showed our client to be several inches taller than the person in the CCTV, and our client's accent being distinctly different than that of the robber, the jury returned a Not Proven verdict and acquitted our client.
