Electrical Terminology: R
1. Receptacle: Refers to a type of #electricaloutlet or socket, namely a wall plug, that provides a location where electrical current can be accessed as a power source.
2. Resistance: Expressed in ohms, it is a measure of how difficult it is for an electric current to pass through a substance.
3. Riser: Electrical risers are special conduits that go vertically for power, telephone, communications, fiber, etc. They and the wires within must be specially designed to prevent fires from climbing the wires and spreading to other floors.
