This was probably the best experience I've ever had with any building works. Harry and Jake fitted a new limecrete screed floor and tiled it with limestone. It was a tricky job with several floor levels and some plumbing work. They did a brilliant job with great communication and excellent suggestions throughout.

Harry was punctual and attentive. and very fair about expected results. My travertine kitchen floor was dirty with missing grouting and Harry really made a difference. He worked hard to colour match the original grout and i was pleased with the results. I would recommend.

We're thrilled with our limestone floors that Harry and Jake so expertly installed for us. They are a dream team---punctual, professional, detail oriented, and an absolute delight to be around. Highly recommend!

Harry is a one man band self employed, works really hard, cares very much for the end result. Which on our floor of riven limestone was not easy. We cannot fault him, he was very friendly, considerate and caring. The finished job is absolutely outstanding very many thanks to him. We would recommend Harry one hundred percent.

As a manager of high quality properties, quality tradesmen are hard to find. Very happy with Harry’s work. Always a great service. Tiles cleaned, sealed and looking like new! Indoors and outside.

Following a water leak where a section of the tiling on our Victorian pathway was unceremoniously ripped up by the water board Harry agreed to put it back together. He was very efficient, knowledgable, showed flexibility and was friendly to have around. Amazing job. Before and after photos attached.

I used Harry Payne whilst he was working with the tile doctor. I have blue lias worktops which needed resealing. I have had the work tops since 2007 and they have been great. I have always understood that they are a limestone so I have have been careful with them. They were previously sealed with lithofin which is what most people seem to recommend. Last August I arranged for Harry to come and redo the stone and to reseal them appropriately. I was quoted £750 for two days work and I had to purchase some polishing equipment at a cost of £100. The work was carried out it only took one day I was still charged for the two but I did get a very small refund for travel. It soon became apparent that the sealer used was not fit for purpose and my stone surfaces have become very marked again even though I am careful about wiping them done using appropriate cleaners and not leaving anything acidic on the surface. When I initially contacted Harry I just received emails telling me it was my fault and I hadn’t been careful enough. The stone is now almost as badly marked as it had been after 17 years of use. I contacted another company who advised me that the acrylic sealer used was not as suitable as the original lithofin used. Harry had agreed to come back to rectify the work but is now refusing to come as I had to cancel on two occasions. I do agree that the last time was the day before but I had to do emergency cover at work this was unavoidable. I would also like to add that Harry had told me that the Mondays were admin days for him so I assumed it would not be a problem. I had not been told this had changed. Consequently I feel very let down and have serious questions about his quality of work. I also feel ripped off having to pay for 2 days work and getting one day with questionable quality! I do NOT recommend this man or his work. He is now refusing to sort out my work tops unless I pay!!!

After having had an abysmal experience with a previous contractor contracted to clean my natural slate kitchen floor, it was with some trepidation that I welcomed Harry into my home. So.....transformational...excellent communication...clean....tidy...and the most amazing results. He is definitely worth waiting for.

Harry has done an amazing job restoring our Victorian tiled hallway. He has been a pleasure through the entire process, even insisting on working Christmas Eve to finish the job. If you need tiles restoring, there is really no need to look for anyone else. Highly recommended.

Harry has done a great job on our limestone floor. Beforehand the tiles were dull, dirty and pretty shabby. Afterwards it looks like we've got a brand new floor. Great work. Very happy to recommend.
