After years in the removals game, we’ve seen it all cancellations, last-minute changes, tight turnarounds. But this one? This was a first.
Saturday afternoon, an email lands:
“Sof, we need to cancel the move.”
It was a large 4-bedroom job scheduled for Monday. No problem we get it. Life happens. We stood the team down and told them to enjoy Monday off.
Then comes Monday…
Quiet morning. Coffee brewing. Inbox clearing…
10:00 AM – the phone rings.
“Sof… we’re back on. The move HAS to go ahead TODAY!”
No team. No prep. No plan.
But when a customer’s in need, we don’t say no. Ever.
Uniform on. Van started. Dashed to storage for the boxes they’d asked for.
11:30 AM, I was at their door. They looked stressed. Understandably.
“Are we actually moving?”
Honestly, I wasn’t sure. I started loading. Made calls. Prepared for the worst.
Then luck. One of our trusted lads happened to be nearby.
By 2:00 PM, he was on-site, helping load the vans.
Every item wrapped. Every box stacked. Nothing rushed. Nothing damaged.
4:00 PM, keys collected.
6:30 PM, job done.
Smiles all round. Stress? Gone.
This wasn’t just another job. It was a reminder of why we do what we do.
✅ We adapt.
✅ We show up.
✅ We deliver even when it feels impossible.
Would YOU have taken the job? Or gone back to bed? 😄👇
