Good Comfort

While my father has had to move to a different level of care, for the last year of his independent living the PSWs at Good Comfort helped him every day. He greatly appreciated their patience and attention to detail. Our family will continue to use the other services that Good Comfort offers – such as transportation and assistance getting to and from medical appointments – knowing that it is an organization that is accommodating, reliable and friendly.

I’m the Power of Attorney for an elderly couple — one living with Parkinson’s and the other with Alzheimer’s — whose greatest wish has been to stay in their own home. After visiting a few retirement residences, it became clear that while they needed support, it was still too soon for retirement home living. One of the residences shared a card for Good Comfort Home Care, and that introduction turned out to be a real blessing. We had already tried other PSW agencies and experienced a lot of inconsistency, so what we were really looking for was reliability, compassion, and continuity. From our very first meeting, Good Comfort took the time to understand the couple’s routines, preferences, and personalities, and to design a care plan that truly reflected their needs and comfort level. Since they were initially hesitant about having caregivers in their home, we began with a light schedule and gradually increased the hours as their comfort and trust grew. It didn’t take long before they formed a genuine bond with their PSWs. They truly enjoy their company and look forward to the caregivers’ visits — often sharing stories, laughter, and familiar routines that bring warmth and companionship into their days. What has impressed me most is how Good Comfort goes above and beyond. They’ve helped me find practical solutions, from sourcing medical equipment to connecting us with a contractor who specializes in barrier-free renovations. They’ve arranged wheelchair-accessible transportation, equipment rentals, and even introduced us to other trusted care partners. It’s clear they genuinely care about helping families navigate this complex and often overwhelming world of home care. The PSWs themselves are deeply caring, gentle, and endlessly patient. The company has always been responsive to my feedback and quick to make adjustments when needed to ensure the best fit between caregivers and clients. Without a doubt, Good Comfort Home Care has made our care journey so much less stressful. Their compassion, resourcefulness, and commitment have given this couple the comfort and dignity of aging safely at home — and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.

My wife had a hip replacement and Good Comfort provided care givers to help us through the first two weeks of recovery. This allowed me to get a good sleep at night so I could provide care during parts of the day and in other parts good leave my wife with the care giver while I did errands. It was a very positive experience. They were caring, respectful, and helpful. Good Comfort made us comfortable and I'm very grateful.

I am so very grateful to Good Comfort for helping me after my hip surgery. The helpers : Tenzen, April, Rowena and Tsering were wonderful. The Good Comfort team came through in "the clutch". My mother required care after a surgery that left her cognitively and mobility impaired. They provided us with a team of three wonderful PSWs that provided great care. Good Comfort was also very responsive as my mother's needs changed and were able to provide all the care that was needed, when it was needed. This includes continuing care for my mother when she needed to be moved into an assisted living residence. Their help made this transition painless for my mother as familiar faces reduced her stress. The admin team members were also great. They were easy to contact, fast with solutions and accurate and transparent with their invoicing. The Good Comfort team really "hit it out of the park". (Can you tell I am a youth baseball/softball coach? :)
