Loneliness is becoming one of the most critical public health issues facing Toronto’s aging population. In a city defined by its skyline, diversity, and innovation, many seniors find themselves living in isolation, unseen, unheard, and underserved. While we often talk about health in terms of treatment and support, there is a quieter crisis shaping outcomes for tens of thousands of older adults: loneliness among the elderly and the social disconnection that comes with it.
