This place used to be fantastic. They had a beautiful spa. I showed up for a spa appointment yesterday which I had booked online. I still keep getting coupons from this place, so I thought it was business as usual. There was no one there, but I ran into a massage therapist who said that she rents a room. If you try and book through the site, she has no idea;you have to book through her personally. They gladly took my deposit and there was no one to contact to get it back.

Place has been abandoned. I showed up with a gift card my husband gave me several months back to schedule a treatment, and the spa was closed, completely dark inside in the early part of the day. The gate to the pool area was open, and the pools were cloudy& dirty. Grass was growing between the tiles, the house was open, and nobody was in it. I have a gift card that I cannot use. I called the Golden Magnolia location in Daytona Beach, which is also closed. It’s a shame that this property was ever sold. When it was the White Orchid, it was a beautiful, well kept and run property.

Really nice spot right on the beach. We were the only guests in the place. Owner Samantha was super nice and checked in with us frequently to make sure we had what we needed, as well as to cook us breakfast every morning, which was excellent. Despite what some other reviews say, the pool was quite clean, the rooms were clean enough, stocked with TP, soap, towels etc. Only suggestions I would make would be to replace the carpeting with tile, and update the beds/mattresses. Bed was fine, just a bit creaky from being that close to the ocean. Other than that, we spent a really nice 5 days/4 nights there and we would definitely go back if in the area again.

Booked here over a month ago for anniversary weekend. They gladly took my money but when we arrived there was no one there. Place was abandoned, with no power. We walked in and found a number to call for which I was told they didn’t know I had booked. Found the pools to be green with stuff growing and also the spa door wide open with no one around. Someone showed up and conveniently put a key under the mat of the room I had booked. We had to scramble to find a hotel last minute. Still hoping I get refunded, don’t book this place.

We visited Golden Magnolia for a mini-moon after our wedding and it was an amazing spot. The owner had great recommendations in the area and the manager (and cook???) had us eating some amazing food all weekend. It was a very romantic getaway, and we would love to go back!

I visited the Golden Magnolia Resort for my husbands birthday as a day-cation trip this past weekend and we had a splendid time. The setting is tropical and calm with relaxing music and the sound of the ocean waves in the background. We enjoyed the hot/cold plunge treatment and we both left feeling so rejuvenated from our visit! We went from the warm pool to the larger cold pool that had a fountain, then we would visit the sauna to warm back up before using the outdoor rainfall shower. We were treated so kindly and generously by the staff and they provided mimosas to further elevate his birthday. We left feeling reinvigorated from the visit and we cannot wait to return again in the near future. The Golden Magnolia is such a beautiful resort and well worth visiting!

My family and I spent an unforgettable time at this hotel. atmospheric rooms, attentive staff and, of course, an incredible view. To my surprise, the pool was in impeccable condition. when I looked at the photos of visitors and read some reviews I was a little wary, but in fact none of the bad reviews turned out to be relevant (perhaps the hotel took into account some problems and corrected everything) I can’t say anything about the spa since I didn’t visit it myself, but my wife stayed In general, I'm also satisfied. The only range of cosmetics presented could be more complete. But in any case, I can say for sure that we will definitely return to this place

I have been to the hotel and spa several times over the years and I have always had a wonderful experience with the service. Sam is always offering the best customer service and the place and amenities are wonderful. This jewel offers all one needs including quiet, peaceful outside filled with nature, mineral pool, beautiful rooms and sauna. The cooking is quite amazing as well and one feels treated very well in all aspects. I highly recommend staying at this jewel.

There was no staff on site whatsoever…like at all...during our stay. The grounds seemed unkept. Lots of potential here, but it almost seemed abandoned. Our bed sheets were changed and made, but there was a general dirtiness to the room. We talked with the only other guest there and they said the same. It seems crazy that this place is wide open and unlocked with no real staff there. Location is good, but this is no “resort”. Not a one star place but they should feel lucky to get my 3.

Beware! Not as described on website, very run down in a lot of areas. No soap by sink, no shampoo and conditioner. Older place, needs more updating and TLC. It’s like a motel, not a resort experience. The pool towels were not there on the morning we left and they weren’t even pool towels, small white scratchy towels. Some pool furniture looked new and others needed replaced or cleaned badly. The whole place needs maintenance and cleaning outside on the property grounds. My husband and I came here for one night for our anniversary and no one was around, had to call phone number, found out our key was left in the door of our room, that’s not safe. No cocktail hour as promised and no fresh flowers, fruit bowl etc., the description on website said you would get those things. You couldn’t adjust the air conditioning. The floor had stains, the a/c ceiling vent had mold. The jacuzzi tub was old, didn’t work well. The pool area is okay, small pools and needs repairs and cleaning. The breakfast in the morning was okay, not good, no selection either. Staff was hard to find, like it’s disorganized. The price doesn’t reflect the room or experience. It’s sad because it used to be The White Orchid, great place, now new owners and name. We won’t return. Very disappointing
