I had the good fortune of engaging Ben @ Golden Environmental to perform a mold inspection on a commercial property that I was purchasing. Ben showed up on time, performed a VERY complete inspection of the property and provided an extensive report detailing his findings backed up by lab reports. In a follow up conversation, Ben explained the report in an understandable manner. Ben respected the property and never rushed through anything. Ben was very thorough. He spent many hours in our home looking for signs of mold. He unfortunately identified many places it was present, and suggested remediation. He sent a very thorough report with specific recommendations to follow. He is very knowledgeable about microbial growth. He also came back for a post remediation check up and gave us recommendations going forward. He is definitely the best in Central Illinois.

They are reasonably priced for the services they provide. They inspected our large home for mold and found it in several areas. I would absolutely recommend Ben to all of my friends and family who are concerned about mold. He’s super friendly and professional, and took the time to answer each one of my questions before and after the inspection. We previously hired another company to look for mold and they were supposedly highly recommended, but they did not do a thorough inspection and only took 3 air samples on each level of our home. No surprise they didn’t find anything concerning, but my gut told me we had hidden mold. I did a ton of research and came across Golden Environmental and basically drilled Ben on his procedures and process, and after he answered every question right lol I hired him. He was in our home for over 3 hours and did an extremely thorough visual inspection, as well as testing and used tools like a moisture meter. Ben found mold in two places which were both toxic, and we are now in the process of figuring out remediation. Also, Ben’s mold remediation report is top tier which will be super helpful for remediation! I am beyond grateful to him!
