We are honoured to present you our collection of sea shells, Glossus Humanus. We are a family of divers, travelers and great admirers of the sea. Our collection started as decoration for nursery room and now counts over 3500 different species from all oceans of the world. As our collection increased over years and as the biodiversity decreases daily we felt obliged to offer our treasure to public and spread admiration we have for marine life and its preservation. In just one year we have become a top attraction in Cavtat, a simple must see, especialy for families with kids. Our museum is funded only by our own achivements so we can't thank you enough for your support in our quest to be the best advocates of the sea.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Cavtat
The Shell Museum in Cavtat is a small but incredibly charming and educational place, perfect for a quick yet enriching visit. Despite its modest size, the museum houses an impressive collection of shell specimens from all over the world’s oceans. It’s truly remarkable how many fascinating examples are displayed within such a compact space.
A special thanks goes to the lovely lady who runs the museum – her warm welcome, engaging presentation, and willingness to answer every question made the experience even more enjoyable. Her passion and knowledge brought the exhibits to life and added a personal touch that made the visit memorable.
Whether you’re exploring solo or with family, this museum offers a peaceful and informative stop. It’s conveniently located right in the center of Cavtat, just a few hundred meters from the main bus station and tourist information center.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn something new and appreciate the beauty of the sea in a cozy setting!

The Shell Museum was such a lovely and intriguing surprise on my trip. It's clear that a lot of love and dedication went into the creation of this family-run collection.
It was wonderful to speak with the owner and learn more about the museum, the shells, and the purpose behind their endeavor. Such a kind and welcoming environment! A visit here is a must while you are in Cavtat.
