Have you met our hygienist Jessica?
Jessica was born and raised in Alberta, spending most of her life in Edmonton. It was there she attended University for her prerequisites for Dentistry. Her Dental Hygiene Diploma was obtained at the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene in Mississauga where she received honours. She is currently working towards a degree completion at the University of Alberta. In 2010, Jessica received her local anaesthetic certification from the U of A, and in 2014, received her laser certificate. Jessica promotes the importance of overall health and strongly believes dental hygienists play an integral part of a healthy body and mind. A large part of what Jessica will focus on during your appointment will be education on the importance of proper oral hygiene as well as disease prevention. Jessica takes pride in her knowledge regarding the most up-to-date research in the dental field. Jessica’s has a gentle hand as well as a strong ability to make patients feel comfortable in the dental chair, thus relieving many anxieties patients may have about visiting the dentist. When she isn’t studying, Jessica enjoys any activity that involves being outdoors with her family. She also takes pride in her baking talents, which include creating new and healthy recipes.
