I trained with Derek for about a year, and the transformation has been remarkable. When I started, I was extremely weak overall — my knees, shoulders, core, and lower back all lacked strength and stability. Even basic movements felt challenging, and I was concerned about injuries. Derek designed a fully personalized training plan tailored to my limitations and long-term goals. He focused first on building joint stability and foundational strength before progressively increasing intensity. That structured approach made a huge difference. One of the most valuable things I learned from Derek was proper form. He is meticulous about technique, posture, and movement mechanics. That attention to detail not only helped me gain strength safely but also gave me confidence in the gym. Over the year, I became significantly stronger, improved my mobility, reduced joint discomfort, and achieved meaningful weight loss. More importantly, I developed sustainable habits and a solid understanding of strength training fundamentals. I highly recommend Derek’s personal training. He’s knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in his clients’ progress.

Great guy, he understands everybody’s individual needs on a day to day basis. Changing workouts based on soreness, and what else you have going on. I highly recommend training with him for athletic purposes.

Dereck is truly wonderful. He’s incredibly patient, but still knows exactly how to push me in the best way. I’ve worked with several trainers in the past, and he has been the best fit by far. This is the fittest I’ve ever been in my life, and I owe so much of that to him. He also trains my 18-year-old son, and it’s been amazing to watch how much confidence and strength he’s gained under Dereck’s guidance. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I’ve been training with Dereck since the spring of 2025, and he’s helped me get significantly stronger. Now I have a new problem. I can’t fit into any of my normal shirts because my arms are too big. ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ - Thanks, Dereck!

If you’ve already made it this far, just do it. Dereck is the trainer you’re looking for. I kept waiting for the catch with his hypertrophy program. Here it is: you’re going to outgrow your entire closet. Multiple times. This year I added significant lean mass, and it shows. The formula works because the coaching is solid: show up, follow the program. No gimmicks.
