I always say that as long as the scar is red, I advise my patients to live a life of a vampire 🧛🏻♂️ . When it comes to sun ☀️ exposure… avoiding direct UV light on the scar helps to heal and avoids unnecessary chronic inflammation (I.e. prolonged redness and long-lasting discolouration) 🤕 Also, use sun protection every day, ideally SPF 90 plus zinc 🤗
