Garden Plaza of Valley View

My mom moved to Valley View 2+ years ago! A decision she made on her own & has never regretted it. All the activities, the transportation (when needed), salon, how incredibly festive it is during holidays & the residents! Carol & John at the front desk are remarkable! She loves all the dining options- food can be hit or miss so nice to have options. It has been a great place & we are in and out a lot. :) Definitely a place you should consider if senior living is in your future or your parents!

Garden Plaza at Valley View has been amazing for my family! The staff and residents are warm and friendly. The food is delicious. There are lots of fun activities and opportunities to socialize. In addition, Melanie has been a wealth of information and support as we navigate this new chapter. I am so grateful to have found this home for my parents!!

My mom decided to move to independent senior living after my dad passed away a few years ago. I looked and toured many senior living places in Boise before deciding on Valley View Garden Plaza. Once you walk through the front door, you will understand. The place is beautiful, extremely clean and the staff are very friendly. We worked with Pam Dillman who was a pleasure and made the entire process seamless. My mom has been there since December 2023 and loves it. She has told me many times it was one of the best decisions she made. The food is great (personal experience), many activities to keep my mom busy, the decorations for each season is unbelievable, hair salon and bakery on site, and everyone is extremely friendly!!! Highly recommend Valley View.

It is scary to help someone you love move to a place with a bit more care. Garden Plaza offers a unique mix of independence and the option to expand services should the need arise, allowing residents a higher degree of confidence they will not be asked to leave and find a new home as their care needs increase. Staff is consistently responsive and caring, and our family has appreciated working with them. Our loved ones have been in other facilities and Garden Plaza is among the best!

My dad lived alone for decades and was adamant about never leaving his home. That all changed when he moved to Valley View. Within days he was telling us about his new friends, was raving about the food, was participating in group activities and playing cards into the evening. He lit up in a new way and truly enjoyed his final months of life there. The residents all welcomed him, several stopping by as we were moving him in. The staff is attentive and warm, the facility is super clean, and whenever my dad needed a ride or a little assistance, someone was always there. It doesn't get much better than that!

We recently moved my mom into Garden Plaza. After visiting several different places in the Boise Area we settled on Garden Plaza. It stood head and shoulders above so many of the competitors. My mom's first visit sealed the deal, everyone was so accommodating and kind, I can't say enough about Pam and all that she did to make my mom's transition easy. She was really incredible! If you're looking for a place to live or for a loved one I would highly recommend Garden Plaza!

Valley View Assisted Living has been a good fit for mother. The staff are warm, attentive, and care about each resident. The facility is clean, comfortable, and has a sense of community. We’ve seen an improvement in mothers’ happiness since moving here.

My parents were looking to move into an independent living community to lessen the burden of cooking, cleaning, and home maintenance, as well as increasing their social involvement. We toured eight different facilities in Boise and the Garden Plaza of Valley View was by far their favorite. We actually didn't have an appointment and just stopped in to see if we might be able to talk to someone - Pam welcomed us with open arms and gave us a very thorough tour. They joined the waiting list, and moved in a few months later when a space opened up. At this point it has only been a few weeks since their move, but they are extremely happy and we've noticed a difference in their health already, especially with Mom. Her speech and walking have both improved, and we credit the Garden Plaza with that. She has 3 regular meals a day, social interaction, walks more, and she doesn't have the pressures that came with owning and caring for a full-sized home. My folks tell us every day how nice everyone is, from the staff to the residents. They wish they had made the move years ago and say everyone they talk to says the same thing. (Better late than never!) I liken it to living on a land-based cruise ship - all their meals and utilities are included, their unit is cleaned weekly (including towels and linens), there are tons of activities, there's transportation to get them around town, and everything is bundled under one price so they don't have to keep track of a ton of bills (or even this one - they're set up on auto-pay)! It's so nice that my teenage daughter wanted to move there after getting a tour. To say it's been life-changing is an understatement. My parents are thrilled, my siblings and I are thrilled, and a huge load has been lifted from all of us. Since I don't live in Boise, it's an enormous comfort to know they're happy and that people are checking in on them daily. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Pam Dillman and all the wonderful staff and residents at the Garden Plaza of Valley View! (Oh, and there's an AMAZING bakery in the lobby - try the blueberry lemon cake.)

As a realtor that specializes in helping seniors downsize, I truly value the expertise and caring hearts of Pam and Melanie. They are very knowledgeable about the process of moving seniors from their homes into this wonderful senior community. Any time I visit the community I feel like I'm on vacation because of the upkeep of the grounds and beauty of the building. I now have several past clients living there and they are all very happy.

My father has been in independent living at Valley View for over a year, and I’ve been delighted with the staff, facility, services and overall experience. Melanie in Marketing went above and beyond to help my father get settled in his remodeled apartment and to make sure all of his needs were met. Highly recommended community.
