Today we were visited by Fred England who brought his “Bubble Wagon” for all to see! Fred is a local businessman turned volunteer for Mercy Chefs. Mercy Chefs serve others by visiting disaster sites and deliver hot meals to those who are impacted. Fred began volunteering with Mercy Chefs some time ago and noticed a great need within the organization to clean up the mess. Fred brainstormed and came up with the idea of the “Bubble Wagon” a trailer designed as a mobile commercial dishwashing station. Fred visited us with his vision, and we developed a trailer that would handle the specific needs for this operation. The “Bubble Wagon” has already made visits to Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi and washed the dishes for thousands of meals prepared by Mercy Chefs! This trailer will bless many hungry bellies as it journeys to those who are most in need. We at Homesteader are grateful to be a small part in making this vision become a reality and are thankful for Fred’s trust and friendship! Keep rolling those wheels and popping those bubbles Fred!
