Complaint about Fresher Breath and Dr. M Essop.
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by Fresher Breath, specifically with Dr. M Essop, regarding my daughter's orthodontic treatment.
Despite being on Myobrace treatment for a year and a half (my daughter is extremely compliant and is now on Stage 2), her doctor did not bother to follow up on her treatment unless I call the surgery for a follow up, which I believe is rather unprofessional on her behalf.
In addition to the ineffective treatment we have experienced issues with billing and insurance claims. Dr. Essop provided incorrect medical aid codes, which resulted in our claims being refused, that too after numerous attempts to get her to help me. It appears that Dr. Essop's office did not submit the necessary documentation, including X- rays to our medical aid, apart from our first visit, no X-rays were taken up until now to show any further progress.
The service provided by Dr. Essop has been subpar in several ways. Appointments are often delayed, and we rarely receive detailed feedback or updates on my daughter's treatment. It's been 5 months since the last time she's called me for a follow up and I think that's very unprofessional considering the price I paid for the treatment.
Given the issues we have experienced with Dr. Essop's service, including the lack of progress, poor communication, billing errors and inadequate care, we have lost confidence in Fresher Breath and Dr. M Essop's ability to provide quality orthodontic treatment. When we met her at Milpark, she was a good dentist, however upon her move to Houghton, something went wrong there.
We urge management of Fresher Breath to please take our complaint seriously and take necessary actions to address these concerns.
