First off, this laundromat is very clean and the machines all seem to be well-kept.
Second, the top-load washers are a good size and the price isn't the worst I've ever seen at $3 for a wash.
Third, the place has a nice, little seating area, which is something I've NEVER seen in a laundromat, so that's kinda nice.
Fourth, you can use cash OR credit/debit cards on all the machines, which is a BIG plus for a traveler like myself...
BUT
The dryers are.....interesting.
First, they're the most expensive dryers I've ever seen at $1.50 to start the cycle, BUT, that gives you 30 minutes of dry time, which you may think, "that's not terrible", except my loads are so small I never need that long to dry, AND they do this weird thing where they spin for about 28-29 seconds, then stop for about 7 seconds, and begin to spin in the opposite direction.
So, for every "minute" on the timer, you're really only getting about 46-47 seconds of your laundry actually tumbling in there, meaning for the "30 minutes" on the timer, you only get 23 actual minutes of your laundry tumbling.
Did my load dry? Of course, but mine usually only takes 15 minutes.
I'm not sure why you'd even want a dryer that stops and spins the opposite direction every half minute. They been spinning one direction for decades and work just fine that way.
Would I come back? Possibly, due to convenience, but them dryers got me feeling a certain way 🤔
