I passed my UK automatic driving test a few days ago on my first attempt with zero faults, and I honestly couldn’t have done it without an amazing teacher like Kevin. I got an early test booking for 10th January in mid-December, and I knew it was going to be challenging. I knew I had very little time to prepare, and the Christmas and New Year holidays were just around the corner. After booking my test, I started calling driving schools frantically and was getting rejected by nearly everyone in the Thanet area but then I found Freedom Drive, and that completely changed everything. They connected me with Kevin within a few hours, which was such a relief. I had never driven in the UK before (I’d driven for a couple of years in India but hadn’t driven at all for over two years), so I was quite nervous to begin with. I was certain I’d have to push my test to late March and even discussed this with Kevin on the very first day. He went above and beyond to make it work. He rearranged lessons, squeezed in extra sessions and even squeezed in a Saturday session 🫢. From day one, his philosophy was very clear: he taught me how to drive safely in the UK, in real conditions, not just how to pass a test. Being a blue-light driver, his standards are high, and he pushes you to rise to that level. He’s incredibly patient, extremely knowledgeable, and very calm, which makes a huge difference when you’re learning 🫢. I would highly recommend Kevin and the Freedom Drive team to anyone looking to learn properly and confidently. I’m already looking forward to coming back for my manual licence very soon. Freedom Drive is also a locally run small business, and I truly believe it’s always better to support local teams who genuinely care about their learners. Amazing from start to finish! I honestly can’t recommend Tel enough as a driving instructor! I started with absolutely no previous driving experience, and thanks to his guidance I passed my test first time in just 3 months — and with only ONE minor! Tel is incredibly patient and explains everything clearly, which really helped build my confidence from day one. No matter how nervous I felt, he stayed calm and supportive, making sure I fully understood everything before moving on. He’s also genuinely funny, which makes every lesson enjoyable instead of stressful. He takes the time to get to know you and even tailors conversations around your interests — in my case, football — which made me feel completely relaxed behind the wheel. If you want a patient, motivating instructor who’ll help you pass quickly and confidently, Tel is 100% the one to go with!

I've passed my driving test on friday first time with Kevin from freedom drive and I couldn't have done it without him. He was Incredibly patient, calm and supportive throughout the lessons. The lessons were well structured, clear and focused on helping me improve and he always took the time to explain things in a way that made sense. I was prepared and ready to take the test and confident to drive. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for a reliable and professional instructor. 🙏 🤠

Terry was a brilliant instructor who went out of his way to adapt his lessons for me - at first when I was very nervous, and then later when we were preparing for the test to make the most of our time. He focuses on building confidence so that by the end of our lessons I felt confident in my driving ability and also enjoyed driving (this was a big thing for me as I was so afraid to begin with!). Thank you Terry for all your help and support, I really appreciated it and would thoroughly recommend Freedom Drive. So happy I passed first time with one minor.

Terrance was hands down the best Instructor Iv ever had I had previously been with someone else and failed two tests I did two hour lessons with terrence twice a week and within a matter of months I was test ready he got me over my fear of a Parrell park and taught some amazing ways of keeping myself calm and relaxed he’s a very friendly bubbly man and this keeps the mood great while taking the pressure off the nerves of driving I am happy to say I passed first time on Wednesday with only two minors! I would recommend him to anyone looking to do auto lessons! Thank you terrence for helping me pass 🙏

Honestly couldn’t recommend my driving instructor Jim from Freedom Drive enough. He is super patient, easy to talk to, and always explained things in a way that made sense. He really helped build my confidence and worked on the areas I struggled with the most. Because of his support and great teaching, I passed my driving test. I am so grateful for all the help – would definitely recommend to anyone learning to drive!

I had 4 lessons with Terry at Freedom Drive as I had to go on a Driving Assessment Course. I thought Terry was an excellent driving instructor. He was very patient and gave me very useful information which helped me pass. I would recommend freedom Drive for driving lessons and passing tests.

honestly a 5 star review doesn’t do this company justice. i’m 17 and have been having lessons with freedom drive since November … 2 months later and i have passed my driving test. my instructor, tel, was the most lovely, kind and knowledge man/instructor. he made it feel okay to make mistakes while driving l, and i learnt not to be afraid of making them as we worked as a team and every mistake was just a learning curve. his way of teaching really made the biggest impact to my driving, i never went home feeling disappointed or upset after a lesson, but always looking forward to the next one. i wanted to say a massive thank you to tel, for everything, for allowing me to be myself and have a laughter; but also teaching me how to drive and being an amazing instructor. i couldn’t recommend this company enough. it truley is one of a kind. see you on the roads punk!

As a Parent Kevin helped and assited both my Daughter and Son in achiving their driving licences. Not only did Kevin provide the professional guidance needed but personlised his style of learning to both my children as they both have massive different personalities and needs. Also as a parent Kevin has kept both Mum and Dad fully informed thorough both achivements. Slightly sad that there is no need to contact him now both have passed their tests but i'm sure we will maintain a friendship in the future. Many Thanks Kevin, top class service.
