Also, If you have an old data storage device that is broken or that you cannot access, we’ll retrieve the data and return it to you in a form you can access, usually a USB flash drive.
For redundancy, we return to you two copies of your data. Then, we use military-grade software to “wipe” the original data by writing 1s and 0s across the storage medium dozens of times so the data can never be retrieved. You will have the only remaining copies. Finally, we disassemble each hard drive and drill holes into the data storage platters, making even an attempt at retrieval impossible.
We take these data destruction measures whether you want us to retrieve data for you or not, and we have a strict policy of never reselling any device once used to store any kind of data. After the data is obliterated, we still don’t resell the devices so that you can be confident your data is safe when you recycle with FreeBackJack.
