This was one hell of a job! A HUGE oak had to be brought down as it was completely dead and therefore dangerous.
As you can see, the lads had to take it down piece by piece, rigging each log that fell, to make sure that they did not damage fences and other gardens.
Oak is a beautiful hardwood, and having been dead for so long, it was ready to use. We had many local artists collect pieces for their work and Manor House Gardens in Lee took some of the larger pieces for seating in their woodland area.
