I would like to welcome Terry Burton to the Forklift Systems family.
Terry began his career in the material handling industry straight out of college. He played baseball at Tennessee Tech University and graduated with a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis on marketing and advertising from Middle Tennessee State University in 1992.
Later that year, Terry began his career as the Marketing Coordinator with Garrison Service Company, the Nashville Toyota forklift dealer. Over the next 14 years, he helped start their Crane and Hoist Division, as well as move into forklift major account sales.
In 2006, Terry jumped from the local dealer to the factory as a Toyota National Accounts Manager. From there he transitions to the Southeast Territory Regional Manager for Toyota, working with dealers and major accounts.
In 2019, Terry accepted the position of VP of Sales for Atlanta Toyota while commuting weekly from his home in Nashville. After 15 years on the road, Terry wished to remain closer to home. We began talking and discussing a potential joint business pursuit during the early phases of the Coronavirus shutdowns.
After much discussion and consideration, Terry accepted the position of Corporate Sales Manager. Welcome to the team Terry.
