Flying Academy Miami - South Campus
About
Flying Academy Miami is an FAA-approved flight school operating under Part 141 and Part 61, located at Miami Executive Airport (Tamiami), just 13 miles (21 km) southwest of Downtown Miami. The airport’s high traffic volume and complex airspace provide students with valuable real-world experience that prepares them for airline and corporate operations. Florida’s tropical climate allows for year-round flying with over 360 flyable days per year, minimizing weather delays. These ideal conditions enable students to build flight hours efficiently and accelerate their path toward a professional pilot career.

For a ten year old dreaming of becoming a pilot, the Discovery Flight was perfect. First he got to rub elbows with current students and pilots in the waiting room beforehand. Then during the flight itself, the instructor showed him so many maneuvers. We couldn't have asked for a better intro!!

Pretty fun, me and a friend of mine went to Miami to do 50hours each as time builders, first couple days we flew together to understand better the radio calls and to help each other out, then we almost flew everyday with two different planes (c-150) and went around all over the Florida state from 6 to 8 hours daily of flight time. Everything was good for me but every plane had a different little problem, from the radio to the strut or the rpm indicator but if you ask you can go to maintenance to have it checked and be sure to be safe in any case. Btw flying in the States is really funny and easy ngl, amazing experience. It took 12 days for me to do the 50 hours as a pic and I had 9 days to do some vacation too, depends on the weather too but it was always sunny bumpy and windy (funny). Highly recommended for Time builders as experience.
