Two days before Christmas my.old boiler died. British Gas or any one nearby could help. I found this company miles away from my home. They provided the boiler I wanted and fitted it in time for Christmas. The customer service and engineer were excellent. You don't have to have a local company as this one provides a wider service. I can't thank them enough.

We had a replacement Gas Boiler supplied by First Plumbing and Heating (GOC) Ltd after the old boiler was 32 years old. The work carried out by Ross and Richard was outstanding and we cannot thank them enough. They took the old boiler, tank and cylinder away after rerouting a lot of pipework. Simply amazing. Thank you, I’ve also now replaced 2 x radiators and added 2. The work undertaken has been beyond excellent and we are so impressed. The second job was completed in the same day, with no mess and any replaced radiators were taken away. 5* work and First Plumbing & Heating are so well recommended.

Very Happy with my boiler installation yesterday. Ross and Connor were very efficient, arrived on time, got to work straightaway and I had a lovely new boiler, with heating and hot water, up and running by lunch time. Quick response and same day resolution of the problem. The boiler pump was broken. The engineer came out, as promised, first thing in the morning with a new pump and changed the pump & bled the system. All was done efficiently and with no fuss & the central heating works better than ever. Very satisfied.

I had a new boiler fitted and two of my radiators fixed by First Plumbing. the engineer did a fantastic job. very professional and thorough. I would highly recommend.

Great company to deal with, very friendly staff, new boiler quotation very competitive and sent in good time. Work completed to a high standard and some other issues were identified. A competitive estimate was given for this additional work that was accepted and to be completed within the next few days.

Boiler not switching on. Called Wednesday to be told change fuse, did this still nothing. Called back Thursday to be told someone will call me back… Nothing… Call Friday morning to be told there electrician is miles away and that’s what we need so best to get your own. Electrician comes and say power to boiler is fine it’s a fault with boiler…. Now First Choice (🙄) closed till Monday. No heating and no hot water since Wednesday morning. Boiler installed in April and under warranty, company based 10 minutes from my property… Absolute joke. Will be booking a hotel for the weekend and billing them that’s for sure. Fuming

First Plumbing & Heating GOC Ltd were very quick to respond to our initial enquiry following our old boiler dying and they offered a very competitive quote. They attended and fitted the new boiler and hot water tank within a few days. Cost around £4k. There was some issues straight away with the Hot water to which they sent out an engineer and emailed: - Just wanted to give you a bit of an update following a visit with one of our engineers today. The engineer found large amounts of build up in the newly installed system filter, and with some other checks he found the system heavily built up with debris from the system. We are recommending that the system needs a power flush using our specialised equipment and cleaner provided. He has put in some cleaner into the system today to help start breaking down the debris and we would recommend this is in the system for a minimum of 7-10 days before carrying out the flush. The total cost for works £1,085+vat This cost includes 2 men for 1 days labour and also flushing chemicals/Inhibitors. I instead sought a second opinion from a Worcester Bosch Service engineer and a different plumber. Here were some observations from the Worcester Bosch Service engineer that First Plumbing refused to reply to and rectify the problem. They were emailed on their contact us address. -The Worcester Bosch service engineer observed the height of the appliance which would be an issue for their engineers should a warranty/guarantee visit and repair be required. The Worcester Bosch engineer remarked on the poor quality of the copper pipework, in particular around the cylinder flow and return. He also commented on the unsupported pipework underneath the boiler. The Worcester Bosch engineer observed that, despite declaring the existence of an automatic bypass by the installer in their Benchmark certificate, no such automatic bypass existed. The Worcester Bosch Service engineer was happy with the water quality and did not agree that a power flush was required. The installer had certificated in their benchmark certificate that they had indeed flushed the system to the relevant British Standard. If this was indeed done by the installer it is categorically impossible for a system to not be clean. Both the Worcester Bosch engineer and the second opinion plumber can either conclude that the installer has stated a mistruth about their flushing procedure or their additional request to “power flush” the heating system is not required. Worcester Bosch confirmed that the system is not circulating effectively as there is a direct bypass fully open between the flow and return on the primary system. This should be replaced with an automatic bypass to allow effective circulation around the house. It is surprising that the installer could actually complete any commissioning checks on the appliance, as they declared they did, with this valve in place. No certificate of conformity to building regulations for the installation of the hot water cylinder was given. No Benchmark certificate for this installation was also observed. It is surprising that they did not replace all of the G3 components and left components of the old cylinder in situ. It was suggest I approach the installer in a polite fashion and ask for them to rectify the issues at their time and cost. Particularly those they have declared they did in the benchmark certificate and guarantee registration. Ghosted by First Plumbing. Avoid at all costs...

A HUGE THANKYOU!! I am very happy to provide this review having just finished a complete refurbishment of a small bathroom in my sons’ two bed flat in Brixton. Having completed many such works on my different homes and properties over the last 40 years, this is the first time I can honestly say I do not have a single gripe or frustration with the project management and really excellent work completed over six weeks. A large part of this is due to the expertise of Murat, the fitter we were assigned who turned out to be extraordinary. He literally did everything, from carpentry to plumbing, electrics to tiling, floor to ceiling, and everything in between. Sometimes this can be a worry (Jack-of-all-trades but master-of-none?) but in Murat’s case his expertise in everything he did was exceptional. He brought any issue he came across to my attention and always had a solution worked out which we agreed and he then delivered. There were several such situations in a Victorian House as you can imagine. His attention to deal and accuracy was fantastic which of course is why the end product is so good. Oh, and he worked very hard indeed, and at the end when he needed to finish but things were taking a bit longer than he had hoped, there was no rushing and no reduction in the quality of work. While Murat did the actual work, the back up team at First Plumbing and Heating are also great. Lizi and Lee in the office were punctual and accurate on all the paper work and invoicing, and also offering ideas. Dave was the interface between office and site and was also very good. He gave us a lot of input into the design ideas at the outset, outlined the issues we would need to think about and offered solution also. At the very start I had explained to Lizi and Dave that I did not want a cheap job. I wanted a quality job with good workmanship, and so wanted a very good team. I am delighted to say that they delivered exactly what I asked for and we are really happy. So I have absolutely no problem in recommending First Plumbing to anybody who is thinking about refurbishment. We will absolutely be using them for the kitchen refurb which is next for us. Just had Ross replace our old Megaflo water cylinder (Unvented and indirect). I have no hesitation in recommending this company for the first rate work that Ross did today together with being an extremely nice person. This company fitted a new Vaillant boiler, last Sept 24 for us, again first rate work by Sean. You may not know it but HOMETREE use this company to support all their customers in S/E England. Can't get better than that.
