FVJC is a warm and welcoming congregation. They started streaming services on Friday nights as COVID closed everything down and they never missed a single Friday night service. Wonderful staff, innovative teachers, dedicated volunteers and the amazingly down to earth, spiritual leader Rabbi Bekah Goldman make FVJC Emek Shalom a place that will "fill you up" during these challenging times.

I was doing a fair bit of "synagogue shopping in 2023. My former synagogue was too far away and it wasn't growing in a way that I had hoped. Then I found FVJC! From the moment I took a tour with Ruth, my search was over. Before joining, I attended the High Holiday services. Congregants welcomed me with open arms and were genuinely curious about me and what brought me to services. During events, someone always made sure to connect and engage with me. Too often, new members are overlooked. That's not the case, here. And, if you want a Rabbi with a fresh, vibrant, relevant perspective then Rabbi Becca is it. She set up a meeting to get to know me personally. That wasn't something that happened in my other synagogue. If you're doing some "shopping" like I was, I would strongly encourage you to check out FVJC. I'm so happy to be a member.
