These guys are awesome! I’ve got a challenging driveway off a busy road. They had to separate their equipment and navigate various obstacles. They handled it like a BOSS. Brought down an oak and cleaned up in a quick and professional manner. Highly recommend 👊🏼

Our neighbor recommended Matthew with Fant's after having some of their trees cut and hauled away. We got in touch with their office and Matthew came out for an estimate within the week. By the next week, his crew came out in full force with professional looking machinery. They were finished same day, super easy and fair price. We'll probably have them come out for maintenance on our baby trees.

We had a service performed just recently where the scope increased significantly from the original agreement. They worked well and they are highly skilled. I was pleased with their work overall. I did, however, have a question about the price that they quoted on stump grinding. The rate was $100 higher than my understanding of their proposal. As such, I contacted them for clarification, but they didn't reply, even after several follow-up inquiries. Again, they do good work, but they could improve on their staff work.

I was away during Charlottesville’s recent snow/sleet/ice storm and returned for several doctors appointments. However, there was no way I was able to move the mountain of ice surrounding my vehicle. My son called Fant’s and they came within an hour and freed my vehicle and driveway with a backhoe. Quick response, great service! Will use them again (hopefully for landscaping and not ice rescue). Thank you!!!

Mathew and his team were highly skilled, organized, clean and courteous. Their prices were within our budget compared to other companies. We will call them for our trees and fencing next time without question. Extremely happy. Thank you Fant's Tree Service!

Matt Fant and his team did an awesome job clearing out 20 large trees and grinding about 30 stumps. They are very safe, skilled, and knowledgeable. They showed up on time and left the property in great shape when they’d departed. They had to remove a number of trees along a fence line and never touched the fence. We had to reschedule once because there was some bad weather and they are under contract with the Commonwealth of Virginia to remove downed trees during stormy weather (and of course that work takes priority). But Matt let me know as soon as he knew, and kept me up to date on status. He absolutely managed my expectations. We’re having his team back to do a second round of tree trimming and removal. You won’t be sorry hiring them to take care of your tree and landscape work. 10/10!

We had a tree removed and others trimmed. The work was done professionally and in a timely manner. Matthew was very knowledgeable and explained everything. We will definitely use them again when we assess the backyard. Highly recommend.

I was in need of some clearing work that was more than me and my chainsaw could handle. I searched and found Fant's Tree Service had great reviews, so I gave them a call. Matthew Fant came over right away, gave me a VERY good quote, and assured me that he and his crew had the equipment and expertise to do the job right. Matt and his crew came early on the day we had planned, and had the whole job done in short order. Even after the work was done and I'd paid him in full, Matthew told me to call him in a while after the grass seed had a chance to grow so he could come out and inspect the results...just to make sure I was happy with his work. Matt and his guys are the real deal...TOTALLY recommend using them for ALL of your Tree related needs.

Excellent service. I called them to dig my mother's driveway outta the ice. They responded immediately and showed up as promised. Cleared the ice out of the driveway in 15 minutes. Great service!

These people charged my 94 year old grandfather $300 for snow plowing a 25'x12' gravel driveway. So much for a honest family owned business.
