Faby Tour Guide - This is Rio

Faby was incredible!! This was our family’s first time in Brazil and we could not have asked for a better experience. Both my kids absolutely adored her and I think would have taken her on with us to Iguazu if we could have! My advice would be to book everything directly with Faby and not third party sites. She took care of everything, including tickets, food recommendations, and airport transportation. She was warm and inviting and was passionate for the culture of Rio and Brazil. Her positive attitude was infectious!! We genuinely felt she was there to give us the best experience Rio had to offer. We spent two full days with her across Rio’s popular spots and to Ilha Grande for a boat day in the lagoon. One of the highlights for our kids was visiting the Carnival school. I could not recommend her more for families and those traveling with kids.

Faby is AMAZING! Before I start I don’t typically waste my time writing reviews but Faby is worth it. We are from Wisconsin and we were not sure what to expect from Brazil! We brought our 11 month old baby and wanted to do private tours so that we could accommodate his schedule. FABY TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING! It was perfect! She is also an awesome photographer! The first tour we did was to Christ the Redeemer, Santa Teresa (the famous stairs) and sugar loaf. Faby got us priority access which was a bonus! She took her time to explain every detail (we had so many questions). Since it was our first day we asked if she could swing by a grocery store for water and essentials and she did! My husband tells me his favorite meal was at Sugar Loaf which was at a restaurant overlooking all of rio! The second trip was to Petrópolis (rained ALL DAY)! First of all the restaurant Faby took us to was DELICIOUS! The cappuccino in the morning was fantastic (she should probably do a food tour she knows all the spots), saw the casino, Peter the seconds house, the church with Peter the second’s body and another interesting house, we had great conversation and the baby was happy the entire time! She did the tour of Peter the second’s house and shared fun facts that you wouldn’t otherwise get (if you decide to go on your own you won’t get much out of it, there are no tours and the descriptions in the museum are not informative). Throughout the 8 hour day diaper changes and bottles and down time were all accommodated for! Faby loved our little boy like he was her own! The third trip was to Isla Grande (I think that’s how you spell it). This trip MADE OUR VACATION! Do it, don’t sweat the the time it takes to get there! We got on a private boat, spent the whole day in the water (again our baby got so much attention from Faby which made the trip so easy!) Faby got the boat driver to take us to this island where we saw two wild turtles swimming (which we touched! The baby touched it too!) and then we had a beautiful lunch overlooking the ocean Faby has now become part of our family! Thank you so much for everything you did for us and for accommodating our little boy!

Faby was fabulous! She made sure to make a rainy day Rio amazing. I learned a lot about Brazilian culture and history as well as seeing some of the beautiful sights of the city. I would definitely recommend booking a tour! And in addition she is a skilled photographer. All in all an informal and fantastic experience. Thanks, Faby!

Faby was recommended to us by an acquaintance and it turned out to be a wonderful tour! We discovered many new sights in Rio during our 6-hour tour – especially hidden gems like the viewpoints in Tijuca National Park or the old house in Santa Teresa. Faby was also very flexible, so we could adjust our itinerary throughout the day. On top of that, she was extremely kind, vibrant, open-minded, and humorous, which made the tour even more enjoyable and memorable. I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a stay in Rio de Janeiro!
