2011 Mercedes C-Class ESL / Electronic Steering Lock Failure.
The customer called us initially for us to investigate the key not working. After a quick investigation of the key we quickly determined it wasn't the key and it was the ESL.
These Mercedes Electronic Steering Locks are very prone to failure and when they do the vehicle will no longer start.
We programmed the customer a steering lock emulator which in effect acts exactly the same as a working electronic steering lock.
Hey presto the vehicle is now starting perfectly 👍 We also offer a lifetime warranty on the steering lock emulator itself.
Mercedes ignitions and steering locks are a very poor design and both very prone to failure.
