2015 VW Golf GTD Electronic Steering Lock Replacement & Online Programming.
Customer contacted us when they could no longer start their vehicle due to an ESL / electronic steering lock fault.
We went and investigated the fault and found the problem was that at some point water had got into the ESL and caused a short and just destroyed it.
We ordered the new part from VW and returned to the vehicle to do the job but due to the very rural location of the vehicle we had to use our Starlink satellite internet to connect the VW dealer server to programme the new ESL which is part of the immobilizer system and requires online programming.
Suffice to say the customer is now back on the road and very happy.
