Yesterday we were called in to fix an overflowing dry well connected to a washing machine. For the last three winters, the client was unable to run their washing machine all winter due to the system overflow.
We discovered the entire tank was filled with greywater, there was zero gravel in the drywall system (only backfilled with dirt and some brick!) and the overflow pipe was completely clogged with lint roots and dirt.
In one day work, we modernized the entire system by cleaning all the system and installing 2 1/2 tons of gravel around the system.
The client now has over 200 gallons of capacity with properly installed drainage, and they no longer have to use the laundromat when the system fails for four months in the winter.
