Ernie and his team have once again gone above and beyond on the second car I’ve brought to them. Their mechanic is highly skilled and clearly passionate about his work. They repaired a dent and repainted the door, and the results are flawless—the blend is seamless, and you’d never know there was any damage to begin with. Not only was the quality of work exceptional, but the price was also unbeatable compared to other shops. Overall, this is a hardworking, honest, and talented team that delivers outstanding results. Highly recommend!

Trust me, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE! Especially IMPORTS, SPECIFICALLY MERCEDES-BENZ. We took my son's car there for something and while there they told me that they work on Mercedes-Benz. So, I entrusted them, considering Ernie said he had an older model Benz as well. After a few used parts that I bought myself didn't work, I bought a brand new mercedes part to have them put on. When they finally got around to it, Ernie said the window works perfectly now. Well, it doesn't. The drivers side window still hesitates, gets stuck, etc. More importantly though, over the course of 3 weeks I had found small pieces of broken plastic, bolts here and there and gave them to Jesus as he said he'd set them aside and let the tech know. Well, fast forward to picking up the car. They had no idea where the parts were, much less where they attached. Come to find out, the broken plastic pieces were from my console plate that holds the window master switches in place. Also, the door frame on both the drivers side and rear door bolts were missing. I went and bought new bolts and tried putting them back in place and both doors are out of alignment because both hinges got bent in the process of them taking the door panels off, which the tech didn't even have to remove to get the door panels off. I am also missing a part from where the door closes on the drivers side. When I asked for all my missing parts, they said they had no idea where they went. Unless they used these parts for Ernies mercedes, the tech must've just thrown them aside and didn't keep them to put back together. Moreover, I'm assuming since they realized he broke the plate underneath the console that holds the window buttons in place, returning the broken pieces would be admitting to damaging my vehicle even more. After Ernie seemed to be fed up with me inquiring about my missing parts, damaged vehicle and more things being broken than what needed fixed in the 1st place, he insisted that I accept the money that I had already given them for labor. He then said, and I quote, " This is why nobody wants to work on these old Mercedes-Benz, because it's hard to find parts for!" ?? I said, "Then why would you even offer or say you work on them, not to mention lose and or break the parts I already had . The young" kid" tech they had working on it was supposedly being supervised, lol, which they only ever went back to him each time to ask where the parts were? Now, I have more issues than I had than when I took it to them. Also, yes, it is hard sometimes to find certain parts for and is exactly why I'm pissed off about this. I'm not sure if it's worth taking to small claims court, but I am weighing the possibility. Also, after reaching out to Walter's imports to help fix this issue, they informed me that they had another guy with a VW rabbit who had his car damaged as well. I am getting the issues they messed up on my car repaired and keeping the receipts and contemplating small claims court. If you have had any issues, please share a review here to let people know and hopefully stop this from happening. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that upon the 2nd time I went to pick my car up, they said the window was fixed, it worked for like an hour and then stopped. It also had, and still does have a heavy smell of gasoline now when I drive it and 2 lights on the dash as well are now on. The tech asked me about the lights and asked if I had done anything to my brakes??? These lights were never on when I took it there, and they all knew this. They had no idea they said why it would smell like gas. Each time upon checking on the car, the tech would have my car running for several hours while trying to check the electronics, fuses, etc. It's been a total nightmare!!!!! My seat heaters, the rear wiper and electric seat postioner are not working now. It seems I have an electrical issue now too!

Small business and location but great work, very professional and modestly priced. Recently tore my front bumper off my car and needed it reattached. I was able to send photos with a description and received a estimate and timeline back the same day. Scheduled the repair and was notified when the parts would be in. Keep me informed during the process and stuck to the timeline. Would recommend to others.

We were buying a car down the street and Jesus fit us in on a busy Saturday to do the comprehensive inspection. He was very personable, communicative, and fair. He kept us in the loop the whole time and gave us print out of the findings so we could take them back to the dealer for negotiations. I would go back to him in a heartbeat if I was ever buying another car in the area and recommend him to my friends and family. Thanks Jesus!

Came in from out of town to visit my daughter, only to find out her car wouldn't start. Initially I thought it was the battery. Turns out it was the starter. I hunted around online and found Ernie's Auto Care Center. Ernesto was straight-forward with pricing, when he would be able to tow the car, and told me he would get it in the shop as quickly as he could. Car was fixed the next day. I was able to Zelle him the cost the repair which was very convenient seeing as I had left the state to go back home. Great job and thank you!

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel like I need to warn anyone considering this shop. My girlfriend was driving to Indianapolis when her car broke down on I 65. This shop was the closest option, so she went there hoping for help. While the staff were polite at first, the service that followed was extremely unprofessional. They kept her car for four hours on the first day and still could not diagnose the issue. She had no choice but to Uber to Indianapolis at her own expense. They then held the car all day Saturday with no clear answers. Despite their own uncertainty, they told her the car was fine to drive, yet the mechanic put nearly 100 miles on her vehicle without her permission. His gym bag was even left in her car, which clearly shows personal use of the vehicle. Because the shop could not resolve anything, my girlfriend had to rent a car to return to Chicago at her own expense, only to be told later that she owed an unexpectedly high amount for what was essentially inconclusive work. At no point did they explain these charges upfront. When we finally got the car back, we could barely drive it home. We took it straight to my trusted mechanic, and he found the actual issue before we even made it back to our house. The problem was simple and obvious because it is a common issue with the car, which makes this shop’s failure to diagnose it even more frustrating. They took advantage of someone who was stranded and needed help and admitted they assumed she could afford it. The reviews on Google do not reflect our experience at all, so check Yelp for a more accurate picture. If you ever break down in this area, do yourself a favor and have your car towed somewhere anywhere else. They could not diagnose a basic issue and charged heavily for their own incompetence.

My son attends Purdue University and lives off campus. So when his car started having engine problems, we choose Ernies because it was close to his apartment. They diagnosed his issue and fixed it in one day!! We are very grateful to them as we do not live in this city. Thank you for taking care of our sons car!!

Been to this shop many times, from fixing my totaled car, oil change, to changing the radiator. Ernie has been a friend and a reliable man! He even works with financing parts. Very reliable especially with my car (I drive an Audi)

This place is definitely blessed by Jesus Christ. I took my car to 3 shops and no one wanted to touch my car or deal with the headache of helping me out in my situation. The mechanic Jesús was clear and kept a line of good communication, not only do they work with you but they have a line of credit to help you out when you’re truly struggling to get help. Definitely recommend and will be sending everyone I know to them

Came in 30 minutes before close, these guys helped me out with a tire plug at a very fair price. Highly recommend!
