Amazing experience! Nevada was an amazing instructor very helpful and knowledgeable. Cemented my son's choice in perusing his goals in aviation. Felt we were in good hands while flying.

Had an amazing discovery flight this past weekend with Yonnic. He’s an outstanding instructor—professional, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave us a full tour of Epic Flight Academy’s facility, and honestly, the place is top-tier. Great experience all around and highly recommend both Yonnic and Epic Flight Academy.

After getting my private at a Part 61, I toured Part 141 schools across the country—California, Florida, Wisconsin, and Arizona. I knew I wanted to come to this school right away because of the supportive student atmosphere and family feel. Since starting with my Instrument and now working on my CFI, it’s been an amazing experience. I really appreciate the 1-on-1 instruction, and my instructor, Tobias Budd, has been amazing—knowledgeable and experienced. I also love that backseating ground and flights is free, which has helped me learn so much faster. The school uses G1000-equipped planes, and the students are all very supportive—we’re always helping each other study and succeed. Highly recommend this school to anyone serious about flying!

I had an amazing experience on my discovery flight with Nevada. From the start, he made me feel comfortable and explained everything clearly so I always knew what was going on. Getting hands-on time flying the airplane was incredible — I didn’t expect to be able to do as much as I did on my very first flight! Nevada’s teaching style is calm, professional, and encouraging, which made the whole experience both fun and educational. The flight confirmed my interest in pursuing aviation, and I’d definitely recommend Nevada and this school to anyone curious about learning to fly.

I signed up for a discovery flight on this last Saturday. Somehow, the recruiter I was talking to never got it scheduled but the people at this location bent over backwards to make sure I could still get the opportunity that I had scheduled. I’m very thankful I got to experience a discovery flight with Epic thanks to the hard work of the people here who put in their effort to make it work.

I had a great time training at Epic. The aircraft are well-maintained, and the instructors are knowledgeable and hold everyone to high standards. I was only at Epic for my instrument rating but I would certainly recommend them and my instructor Nevada to anyone who wants to make a career out of aviation. Nevada in particular was flexible with my hours and was always prepared for each lesson and flight, providing specific and actionable feedback. I will say that costs were about 20% higher than advertised. My base spend was $20k for the course (advertised $17k), that's after discounting a further $3k for redos and a longer cross country to Sedona (worth it!). It would also be better if the main Epic office in Florida provided their satellite locations with more scheduling autonomy. The local airspace and ATC restrictions makes circling approaches more challenging than necessary, but everyone at Epic (and my eventually DPE) made very reasonable accommodations and it was not a hindrance. Overall I had a great time and would for sure recommend Epic again!

I just finished training at Epic Flight Academy in Tucson, and it was an awesome experience. The instructors were great, the staff super helpful, and I really appreciated all the free study materials —tutoring, sim sessions, back-seating flights, all of it. Just a heads-up: it’s more expensive than you might expect, and it took a bit longer than I thought. Still, the training itself is solid and really thorough. The program is more set up so you can get all your licenses at once. I’m 17 and taking a break before moving forward with loans for the rest, but overall it’s a high-quality school with great people and training.

Had an incredible first flight with Kyle, my instructor, who ran me through absolutely everything. It was a pleasure to get familiar with the aircraft, and his patience was greatly appreciated!
