I signed up my 7 year old for two weeks of camp at the Ahwatukee Urban Air location. I ended up canceling the second week, because my husband and I both felt extremely unease with the extended care provided. For the first day of camp, also the only day we used the extended care, my husband couldn't find our daughter during pick up. After combing through the place a few times, he eventually found her in a corner by herself with no adult nearby. We then found out that during extended care, there was only one single camp staff at the entrance, while all campers were allowed to free roam the entire place (thousands of square feet) on their own with no adult supervision. The location was also open to public during camp hours, so anyone could get in. I expressed my concerns to the camp owner and was told extended care had to be this way for affordability. As a parent, I (and likely all other parents) would rather pay for the higher price for a safe extended care program, or plan for inconvenient early pickups than leaving my child in an unsafe but inexpensive aftercare program. I'm still giving the three stars here because the normal day camp (8.30 am to 3 pm) was good and my daughter really enjoyed that portion of the program. However, if you need the 3-6 pm extended care portion like I did, make different arrangements, because this part of the program is NOT safe for young kids.

Son attended camp at Maverix (full day). He was so hesitant day 1 and loving everyday after experiencing it. They got free arcade time (no tickets/earnings - just play). He loved the chicken tenders there (required to buy lunch). Pizza was a close second. Maverix staff would good too (food order and greeting). Felipe and Sam were great and so welcoming when he was so shy. You can tell they enjoy their jobs. My kid had a blast! We did this thinking he would like it all-just wished I would have done more weeks now knowing how good it was! They also have a private social media group where you can see updates. Thanks for a super week!

My 8 year old was sitting at home staring at the wall, telling me how bored he was. I decided to sign him up for a week of this camp (they require a mask a face mask at this time). I was a little worried because he was the youngest of the age group and because he is so quiet. I let the director know and he said there should be no worries and he would let his counselor Devon know. My son hadn't been happier in a long time. He is a quiet guy by nature, but when we would pick him up from camp, there was no stopping him from talking excitedly about his day. Really glad I sent him and would easily do it again.

My son attended the summer program held at Mavrix and I couldn't be happier with the entire program. The program was a little but on the expensive side (my son was signed up for full days, 5 days a week, plus the extended care) but I think the value was definitely there and I got my money's worth. Overall, I'm looking forward to my son attending again next summer. As long as the camp is held at Mavrix or High Octane, I anticipate my son attending.

My children very much enjoyed camp. I only did camp, not extended care, and they loved the structured learning combined with the freedom to play some of the time. Also, one of my children got COVID before he could even attend his first week at camp. We kept him home that week and were able to work with management to credit the money we paid for the COVID week to another week of camp. No money wasted and a happy child.

We learned about Engineering for Kids through my husband's work at Primavera and we are SO glad we did. Our kids absolutely LOVE going here for Summer camp and Spring Breaks. We've attended the Primavera Learning Center camp and Val Vista Academy - both were equally wonderful. The curriculum is geared perfectly for kids to be really fun and educational at the same time. The staff is always professional and awesome with kids! Ron (The Director) is so helpful with anything you need. The environment is fun and upbeat without all the chaos you get with other camps. Highly recommend!!

My daughter (6) and nephew (13) attended one week of this camp (NE Skyzone) and LOVED it. It was just enough STEM to keep them engaged and interested with playtime to let them blow off steam and keep them from getting bored. Each day they raved about how much fun they had. I will definitely send my kid back next year!

My son attended the program at Mesquite Elementary in Gilbert. My son loved the program and made a "new best friend". He enjoyed learning about space and making Rockets! Def recommend the program.

Grandson attended the EFK summer program at Mavrik in Scottsdale. He loved the challenging activities and really engaged in the learning. We will send him again when the opportunity arises.

My son loved this camp! Every time he was in such a hurry for me to park so he could run in and get started. The enthusiasm he had was refreshing. We can't wait to go during another break.
