The United States is drastically reducing its use of coal for electricity generation by 2032, with an overall goal being that natural gas will become the most popular fuel.
In 2021 there were 51 percent more net generating units running on alternative fuels such as wind and solar than those using only conventional methods like oil or nuclear power (AWEA).
The reason? Solar panels are getting cheaper every day while Atmos pricing has gone up 35% which makes it difficult not only financially but also environmentally since we need their energy sources soon enough!
