We are pleased to announce that Mr Elledge has registered as a member of the British & Irish Society of Oral Medicine (BISOM). This is a postgraduate society concerned with promoting the practice of Oral Medicine, through teaching and research, and to encourage communication between those with an interest in any aspect of Oral Medicine.
Mr Elledge has seen an increase in patients attending the clinic with Oral Medicine conditions due to the sparse availability of secondary care professionals dealing with these issues in the private sector.
Mr Elledge is very keen to ensure that his patients continue to receive the most evidence-based, current and effective care for conditions including (but not limited to): oral lichen planus; recurrent aphthous ulceration; pemphigus vulgaris; mucous membrane pemphigoid; burning mouth syndrome (BMS); Sjogren's syndrome; oral epithelial dysplasia.
In addition, he continues to see people with a wide variety of orofacial pain conditions stemming from his subspecialty interest in temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), with presentations including (but not limited to): peripheral painful traumatic trigeminal neuropathy (PPTTN); persistent idiopathic facial pain (PIFP); trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias (TAC); trigeminal neuralgia.
If you feel any of the above may be affecting you then please get in touch today.
