This is for the New Braunfels Location. I live in San Antonio. I have a 2021 Mazda3 Turbo with a Bose system and I wanted to determine what I could do to improve the sound. The fist time I went, I was attended by Lucky and he took a look at my car's audio sound schematics in their computer system and he recommended that we first install a subwoofer and then I could asses if I needed more work done like replacing the Bose speakers and amplifier. Lucky mentioned that to replace the Bose system speakers and amplifier was going to be very costly. I appreciated his honesty. I went to visit a second time and Lucky took a look at my subwoofer box, subwoofer driver and at my JL Audio sub amp that I already had and he said that it can be done no problem and he gave me an estimate. A few days later, I called in to make an appointment for the installation and I was attended by Joel. He was courteous and I paid for the installation over the telephone and made an appointment. The day of the installation, I was attended by Shane, one of the owners, and he was also courteous. Shane has been in this business for over 20 years and he is an installer as as well. I believe the installation was done by Travis (20 years+ installation experience) and maybe Shane helped some. They did a great job on the work and you cannot tell that they worked on my car. During the installation, Travis found out that my subwoofer driver (Infinity) was damaged. They had several 12 inch subwoofers to select from and I selected an Audio Control SPK-12S4. They also installed and Audio Control line level to RCA level converter with a subwoofer volume control. With the subwoofer installed and configured, the sound of the Bose audio system improved tremendously, to the point that I do not need to replace the Bose speakers and amplifier. I highly recommend them for your car audio needs.

Update: I'm disappointed that it took a bad review to get an actual response from them. The lack of professionalism and communication is astounding. Jessy, who is one of the owners, reached out to me after seeing the poor review and apologized profusely. We had the truck scheduled to be worked on again and they claimed to have fixed the issue once more. Spoiler alert, it was not resolved. We immediately called them to let them know. They started by replacing the camera, then the head unit itself and the issue still wasn't resolved. One of the visits devolved into a shouting match between Joel and my father after my father pointed out how after paying $1700, it is kind of ridiculous that the truck has been back this many times and they still hadn't fixed the issue. Joel first came back saying he's sure it wasn't that much to which we responded that we have the receipt. Joel then went on with snarky comments saying that he was doing us a favor by looking at the truck and ordering replacement parts. No Joel, you're not "doing us a favor", you're doing what we paid you for. When the parts finally came in and we took the truck back, the person at the counter didn't even know why we were there, so apparently communication isn't very big within the company itself either. After this last attempt and the truck still not being fixed, the dash trim around the head unit was loose and would rattle while driving. You could take one finger and apply slight pressure and the entire trim piece lifted away. After seeing this, I asked to have all parts removed, the stock radio put back in, and a refund issued. My text was read and ignored, with them scheduling a third party to come to our residence to work on the truck. Thankfully this person actually knew what they were doing and found the issue which was the wiring between the rear camera and the head unit. He redid the wiring, tested everything, and so far it all seems to be working consistently now. I don't know if it is negligence or straight up incompetence, or some combination of the two, but the best thing Elite Auto Sounds did for us for an entire year was call somebody else. Will absolutely never be doing business with these people again and I would advise you do the same. ////////// Extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and repair efforts for an Alpine head unit with backup camera. I paid for a stereo upgrade for my father's Tacoma as a Christmas present and we had issues right away. The same day I picked up the truck from the New Braunfels location, we were having issues with USB connectivity. You could tell they didn't even bother testing the connections because you would've seen right away that there was an issue with the cable they used to connect to the rear of the head unit. Instead, the techs insisted that it was user error as if I don't know how to connect my phone to a stereo in 2024. I finally got them to pull the truck back into the bay and check everything and what do you know, bad cable. They put a new one and actually checked it this time before putting everything back together. The other issue is that the backup camera is intermittent at best and always seems to stop working at the most inopportune times. My father has taken the truck back already and they said they fixed it but the issues persist. We've called multiple times, spoke to a gentlemen named Joel, explained the situation, and every single time they say they'll call us back and then never return the call. After calling again, it's like they don't even remember talking to us and they forgot. This has happened multiple times. We even left a Yelp review with a video showing the issues but they had it taken down. After paying just over $1700 between parts and labor for the install, you think you would have quality work, but it appears that this is not the case. If you want clear communication and a quality install, I suggest looking elsewhere. This install was done over the Christmas holidays 2024 and here we are in September of 2025 now with no resolution.
