Beautiful site. Not too far from the village if you can drive down, otherwise it's a fair way from shops. One shower and one loo only downside really but we enjoyed a peaceful stay here.

Really lovely site and Doris is very friendly and very chatty, very welcoming and make you feel very relaxed. Love the site, the sound of the bird's. Know it's just a basic toilet and shower, chemical toilet waste but it's just fine for us. Really like it book up again for next month.

Nice little campsite (not a hotel Google). Normally very quiet location away from the main road, although there was some building work going on the day we arrived and the next morning. Peacocks are lovely and roam free, no problem. We just stayed one night on our way to Suffolk from Somerset. Would definitely stay again. Doris was most welcoming and friendly. Not all pitches are level but not a problem. Mixture of hard standing and grass pitches, some with electric hookup. Some secluded grass pitches for back packers or those wanting extra privacy. Recommended.

One night stay here. Very basic site but for 20 quid you can't complain. Great views and nice to see all the animals. Yes animals make noise so you will hear them at times while asleep. The toilet and the shower definitely need to be upgraded but again for the price you can't complain too much. As another has said if you are in a caravan then site is great. If in a tent one or two nights is fine Doris is a lovely lady who goes out of her way to help. Would stay again for 1 or 2 nights

Had a weekend break here . It was a lovely spot with great views and local to the town however the facilities let it down and the grass on the pitches very over grown. For how big the site was if you have no facilities of your own then there is only 1 toilet available and 1 shower which both were very dated and neglected. Both could have done with regular cleaning and at one point had no toilet roll and tissue all over the floor. Due to this i wouldn't recommend unless you have your own facilities.

I would live here in my caravan! A real gem of a campsite, the sound of peacocks and visits from them are truly special. Doris is very welcoming so cannot rate this find enough! Great dog walks, town just down the road and everything you need for a peaceful break.

This was a fantastic stay in a gorgeous location, with beautiful birds all around & magical trees, such delightful nature. Doris is amazing & really makes the stay even more beautiful with her wonderful bubbly friendly energy, hospitality & useful information. She made us feel so at home letting us know about the area & where best to go, very accommodating & gave us plenty space to enjoy our stay & a beautiful plot for my dad & I to camp we really enjoyed it so much & looking forward to visiting again. We made lots of friends on the camp & also had our own space & privacy. The shower was great, powerful & refreshing kept the heat too, was simple yet affective, a beautiful camp that is more basic & simple about the nature rather than facilities, but we had all we needed. There were beautiful peacocks & various birds to adore, so many interesting nature sounds. Beautiful trees that Doris has planted, she had a great knowledge of the land & animals & what's happening in the area. Was a wonderful stay we shall be back again. Thank you Doris for everything. Really enjoyed every moment here. Is near to Olney & other lil villages that are beautiful to explore & see also wildlife in the local nature reserves. Close to milton keynes as well, we stayed to go to festival there it was great being close to Central but out in nature best of both. I would like to come back just to enjoy the stay here at Ekeney House Campsite, is an enjoyable space to get away from busy city life & enjoy some peace & tranquility (if you don't mind bird noises hehe) i loved all the weird bird sounds so interesting & beautiful. Excited to visit again

a lovely little campsite with a great view! the owner doris is very kind and helpful and welcomed us with open arms. the toilet & shower are a bit adventurous but they serve their purpose so i really can't complain. there are animals as well but they're fenced in and away far enough for them not to disturb anyone, or be disturbed by the campers. all in all i had a fantastic time!

Lovely campsite. Super owner who is friendly and helpful. Level pitches with ehu. Reasonable prices. Quirky toilet and shower. Gorgeous peacocks, rhea and guinea fowl in site.

Although Ekeney house is set in a beautiful area with great views, birdlife and lots of trees, the main hosts, Doris and husband seemed unable to cope with maintaining the basic facilities and camping areas.. Although the many Peacocks, guineau fowl, Reahs and dogs can be amusing at first, after a while this constant distracting cacophony of noise like barking, screeching, howling and crying really wears away at the senses and annoys/disturbs anyone needing to sleep, rest or think clearly day or night..When we asked for her to clean up animal poo and/or the shower/toilets she didn’t do anything so we decided to clean them. Also she babbled a lot instead of communicating civilly or listening enough to anyone. The road leading to the campsite was full of potholes and needed maintenance all along it. We felt it was very much their personal land with lack of respect for others or guest. It could really benefit from an inspection, extra workers and a massive toilet/shower/general overhaul in and out of the site/accommodation area!?
