BEWARE!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED OUT OF MONEY!! I chose this “company” (which my impression now is that this company is not a “we,” but rather just one individual) because of the good reviews, but it turned into a total disaster! I was happy originally that someone was able to come out right away and look at our refrigerator and diagnose the problem quickly- because I was hoping to save my food. My first red flag was when I went to pay the diagnostic fee and I was told by Tariq that he couldn’t accept a credit card payment. When I questioned why he gave me a poor excuse- which I now surmise from reading his poor reviews is because he had issues with other customers filing claims against him with their credit card companies. Once we decided that we were going to move forward with a repair, the plan was that Tariq would return the next day. When the following day came he cancelled on me and ignored my text. When I messaged again the next morning, he said he’d come that afternoon, which he did. He supposedly repaired my refrigerator and I paid him. Another red flag in payment- he mentioned that he hadn’t yet been able to cash my original check at my bank because his name wasn’t on it. Why would a company not have their own bank where they could cash my check?! I found that suspicious! Then he tried to talk me into paying him with Zelle. If I did have Zelle, which I don’t, I wouldn’t choose to pay a company with Zelle under any circumstances, let alone pay this guy with Zelle. Again, very suspicious! I paid with another check. I will also mention that the repair took him about an hour and I was charged over $300 for labor (which of course I didn’t know how long the repair would take when I agreed to his price)! When that night came and my fridge/freezer was no colder than it had been prior to the repair, I contacted Tariq with no reply. Thankfully I had enough smarts to immediately call my bank and cancel the second check I wrote him (which was a sizable amount)!! The next day I tried to contact Tariq again. He eventually wrote back and said “keep it running” and that he’d be back that afternoon. (Odd comment. I’m thinking- it’s not running, that’s the problem and why I needed a repair!). That afternoon came and we got an excuse that he wouldn’t be able to make it. When I expressed frustration, he had the audacity to say he was “ahead of time” because these repairs “usually take 7-14 days from the day you accepted your estimate.” I was never told 7-14 days! I was told he would repair my fridge the next day- so I’m not sure why he chose this irrelevant and false information. The real issue was at that point that he was realizing that I had placed a hold on the check. His last communication was that he would have me on his schedule the next afternoon (3 days past the original plan, by that point- which by that time meant I lost the food I was trying to save!!). Of course, he never showed up, as anticipated. And I wouldn’t even want him back in my house at that point because he proved he was not trustworthy. And here’s the last thought I have. If he is a small businessman who bought the $400+ part to repair my fridge, wouldn’t you think he’d be concerned about recovering his money? Or is it perhaps that he never spent money on my repair part which is why he wasn’t concerned about making it right!!? I would think he’d be a little more concerned about his company’s reputation as well. He is a scammer and I hope if you are reading this review it protects you from making the same mistake I made!! I wasted over $100 because of this guy and am just thankful I didn’t lose more!! I noticed once I had issues and began digging deeper into his low reviews that I am not the first person to have these issues with him. Apparently it is a pattern. I have no idea how he is still in business!
