I booked a deep cleaning with Eco Cleaning for three 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartments because their higher pricing is presented as being tied to the use of eco-friendly products. However, during the cleaning I observed standard commercial products being used, including Clorox and Febreze. Based on that experience, I felt misled by the “eco” branding and the premium price attached to it.
In addition, the service did not meet deep-cleaning standards. Several areas were not thoroughly cleaned, particularly the showers and bathtubs, along with other spots that were visibly left unfinished. For the cost of a deep clean across multiple units, I expected a far more detailed, top-to-bottom result.
To make matters worse, the invoice included a 10% gratuity that was never discussed or agreed to in advance, and it also failed to clearly reflect the deposit I had already paid. That lack of transparency in billing, combined with the mismatch between what was marketed and what was delivered, was extremely disappointing.
The cleaners themselves were pleasant and polite, and I appreciate their demeanor. That said, given the price paid, the incomplete deep clean, and what felt like a misleading claim about eco products, I would not recommend this service. Charging a premium for “eco” cleaning while using conventional products comes across as predatory, and the overall quality did not justify the cost.
