What Is the Difference Between Enamel and Printed Badges?
Simple way to think about it. Printed badges are great for detailed colourful designs. Enamel badges give you that solid premium feel where you can actually touch the difference.
Printed badges are made by printing your design onto a metal base and then a clear epoxy is applied on top to seal the design. It can be printed in any number of colours – even fine details and gradients. They're ideal for more complex designs or to maintain budget.
At Ebadges we offer both standard and premium printed epoxy badges depending on the finish you are after.
Enamel Badges are completely different. The metal is stamped and the enamel colour is hand filled into the stamped areas. This makes the badge feel premium, which can be felt with your own hands. We offer both soft enamel badges at a lower cost, and hard enamel cloisonne badges at the highest quality for special awards and corporate badges.
So, in the end, it's this. Printed badges are great for colour and detail. Enamel badges work well for the traditional “premium” look and finish.
