Polishing Metal Badge
The polishing stage comes after the badge is cut and molded to its desired shape. Afterwards, the design is stamped over the metal. The metal badge is polished to make it look shiny and smooth with enhanced finishing and laywork. Polishing removes all the sharp edges and imperfections resulting in a professional look to the badge. Below are the steps that are followed to polish the badge:
Smoothening the surface of the badge by applying light pressure with grinding wheels.
Rough polishing with a tumbling machine or buffing wheel to further remove the scratches.
Polishing compounds and soft buffing wheels remove minor scratches by applying pressure in a circular motion.
Finally, the glass finishing is achieved using soft cloth, the badge is polished with lubricants, and then it is buffed again.
The materials used during polishing are abrasive compounds, buffing wheels, polishing pads, and lubricants.
This four-step polishing process is performed to achieve a high-quality finish of the metal badge. We perform this step carefully to maintain uniformity and to avoid the original design vanishing during the process. We perform each step with precision to ensure the badge is free from any roughness.
