Die Mounting
Die mounting ensures the badge is placed correctly in the die machine for proper stamping and cutting. The steps below are involved in die mounting:
1.The operator cleans the dust and leftover material on the machine before starting mounting. This dust and debris can misaligned the badge in the die machine. Cleaning ensures better placement of the die in the machine. The machine is checked for any damages to handle the required pressure for stamping.
2.Place the die in the machine following the design pattern and the measuring tools. If the badge is positioned correctly in the press, its design will be consistent.
3.The screws, clips, and other holders keep the die in its correct position. Screws and holders are tightened to secure the badge movement during stamping. A small movement can ruin the badge.
4.Measuring tools and laser alignment systems are used to achieve the correct position of the die in the press machine. Correct positioning ensures even and clean cuts.
5.An operator tests a few sample badges for accurate positioning. Any issues in the sample are addressed and adjusted in the badge die mounting.
6.Regular checks help reduce waste and ensure smooth operation.
7.The die is removed from the machine, cleaned, and stored.
Die mounting is a process of careful alignment and monitoring. A properly aligned die creates a clean badge design and removes sharp edges.
