Jacob is exceptionally passionate and knowledgeable, and was able to identify the root cause of my 21-year-old guitar’s bridge lifting issues—a problem I had attempted to fix a couple of times before with other luthiers . He was very patient in explaining the details behind the causes and how the issue could be properly rectified. I thought my guitar was beyond repair, but Jacob brought it back to life!! Now, the guitar sounds amazing, with excellent sustain and much improved playability thanks to the thoughtful setup. I’m truly enjoying playing more than ever :) Thank you, Jacob, for your outstanding service!! I highly recommend his services to anyone seeking expert guitar restoration.

I brought my Baby Taylor in thinking it just needed a fresh set of strings, but Jacob quickly identified a much more serious issue. The bridge was actually lifting from the soundboard due to humidity induced wood warping. He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained the structural risks clearly. He performed a full bridge re-glue. The guitar plays beautifully now and feels structurally sound again. Excellent service too: friendly and responsive. If you need any guitar work done, this is the place to go!

First time engaging Jacob to fix up my baby Taylor. He was very helpful throughout the entire process, and took the time to explain things to a beginner like myself. He helped changed my guitar's nut and bridge, and performed a brand new setup. Now my guitar sounds better than ever. Recommended!

My experience with Jacob is a positive one. With his intricate knowledge of accoustics, Jacob ugraded my Yamaha LL16D sound to the next level. With the introduction of the bone saddle, I now am delighted with the rich, all round and crispy sounds of what a great guitar is. Will be delighted to recommend Jacobs work to discerning guitar musicians. Thanks Jacob. Richard C.

Had two family guitars that fell into disuse after years without playing. Brought them in for servicing with Jacob and he did a fantastic job cleaning up all the muck, restringing and setting up the action on them for us. Even helped to repair the pickup and in-built tuner on the Yamaha! With the new bone saddle he’s swapped in, the sound of the guitars has really opened up - brighter and fuller with much more resonance. Overall, a lot more playable now for sure, and not only have they come back as good as new, would say they’re even better. Jacob himself is super communicative, transparent and accommodating. Went the extra mile to advise us on how best to take care and maintain our guitars too. Appreciate and highly recommend his service. (P.S. he operates from Tai Seng and not Punggol, but conveniently located near the MRT.)

Brought my Gibson J-45 to Jacob for a new nut to fix a minor buzzing issue. I was not expecting any real change tone-wise since it is just the nut, but the guitar has gotten better in projection and resonance, which was surprising. Definitely made the J-45 sound a little livelier. Jacob did an impeccable job and I am very pleased with his work. Plus he is really friendly and patient, and I really enjoyed chatting and learning from him. Highly recommended if you are looking for any work done on your acoustic guitar!

There’s a notable difference before and after my Yamaha acoustic guitar was set up with a lower string action. Originally, the factory setup had very high action, which made the guitar painful and uncomfortable to play. After the adjustment and the bone nut upgrade, along with proper dehumidification, the guitar now produces a brighter yet warmer tone and feels much easier to play. Thanks bro for the amazing service and for sharing useful tips on maintaining and improving my playing. Really appreciate it!

Sent my 8 year old Martin OM to Jacob as the sound was becoming dull and lacked clarity even though my last service (done in another shop) was just 2 years ago. Jacob offered very insightful advice and I opted to upgrade both the saddle and nut to bone. The upgrade was beyond amazing - My guitar recovered its original warm tone but with much better clarity and attack than I first bought it! It sounded so well rounded and crisp that you just cant stop playing it. Will definitely go back to him for subsequent servicing. Even the cleaning, adjustment of action, intonnation etc was topnotch. My only regret is not going to him earlier for guitar set up which would have upgraded the tone much earlier!

Sent 2 guitars for Jacob to service. One is relatively new Martin but bridge plate is peeling off another is a "vintage" Yamaha FG330. Must say he did an excellent job. He's someone with passion and very professional. As the saying goes, good things dun come cheap - but with him you get what you pay for, excellent craftmanship and quality of service. Before and After images attached.

Here is a luthier who understands that there is no one size fits all. So his bespoke service caters to the needs, the whims and fancies of each guitar player. Jacob is well-versed in this field and his recommendation on my Martin HD-35 is on point. I absolutely love how he resurrected this guy and breathe new life into the sound. Definitely thumbs up for the professionalism and speed of work.
