Eagle Transmission-Repair

I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe with 191k+ miles. I assumed that doing a transmission fluid flush and replace may be a good idea. Tim recommended to not replace the fluid on an older car that was operating correctly. I took his advice and did a fluid check at my house. The level was perfect and the fliud was clean. Our car (Lexus, 19 yo, 180,000 miles) started having transmission issues, so we took it to the dealer. The dealer analyzed the OBD results and found 2 codes related to the transmission and suggested we replace the transmission. We took the car to Eagle Transmission to get a second opinion, hoping there might be a solution that would be economically viable for an older car with a lot of miles. Tim ran diagnostics on the transmission and also concluded that the old transmission could not be repaired. Tim explained the diagnosis in terms we could understand and discussed the economic decision making regarding the cost of a replacement transmission for an older, high mileage car. We elected not to replace the transmission, but were very grateful for Tim's help, and we will take our other vehicles to Eagle Transmission for transmission fluid and filter changes in the future.
