I was super disappointed with this place. Despite the pandemic being over for quite some time, they’re still charging a 20% “COVID-related” service fee, which feels completely unjustified. The staff went over the karaoke rules, made us sign an agreement, and even required us to leave an ID, which seemed unnecessary and excessive.
The worst part was the pricing. It’s around $60 per hour, but when we tried to leave after an hour, they told us there’s a mandatory two-hour minimum. This was never mentioned to us, and when we pushed back, they insisted we had been informed and pointed to one of papers on the wall as “proof.” It felt dishonest and frustrating.
If the karaoke itself had been great, we might have stayed willingly, but it was awful. There was no remote control, so we had to walk up to the screen to select songs every time. Most of the music was pirated YouTube downloads with poor audio quality, full of noise, and completely unplayable—especially the Korean and Japanese songs. Many were remakes to bypass copyright, so they weren’t even the original tracks.
All in all, it was the worst karaoke experience I’ve ever had. With the service fee and other charges, we ended up paying $150 for two hours of frustration. Definitely wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning.
