Initially, when we met Dustin and I agreed to a reasonable price which sounded good. Dustin said he would spray our deck with semi transparent stain and then back brush it, so the finish would be smooth with no lines, and let the wood grain show through, which is what we wanted. That also sounded good. That didn’t happen, and was never communicated to us that it would not be stained that way, until after he’d stained it. He made excuses saying it would’ve looked like a solid stain if he’d sprayed it. It was a semi-transparent stain that is not a solid color, and would not have looked like a solid stain. This conversation took place only bc we made him come back and look at the deck and voiced our frustrations. The deck boards in between were not stained, there were obvious start and stop marks on boards and had areas where the stain was extremely heavy and dripped down to the outside boards. The stain was uneven throughout the deck and when discussed with Dustin his comment was “It doesn’t look that bad to me.” “That bad?” He also made excuses and kept telling me the stain was actually a paint product. I called the stain company and asked and was told it is a semi transparent oil based stain. It is not a paint product. This work was definitely not 5 star work and so much for a guaranteed job. I gave several stars only bc he did come back and attempted to fix some areas and kept apologizing. After restaining the steps to cover the dark spots, he commented that he figured it would look like a solid stain and was surprised when it didn’t. Obviously, he was not familiar with the product which completely hampered his ability to do the job correctly. You shouldn’t have to apologize if you do the job correctly the first time, and blaming the product doesn’t help fix the application issue.

BUYER BEWARE! We contacted Dustin and Jennifer to paint the siding of our house. He started on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 and finished on Sunday, September 7th. Paid in full $5,400 and that is for siding, trim and 2 porches. Everything went smoothly, house was so beautiful. (See before and after picture). This is where our nightmare begins..... my husband went to install the porch lights by the garage and noticed that the siding was warping, this happened on Monday, September 15th, 2025. We called Jennifer around 5pm that night, she answered and said that she would let Dustin know and call us back. We waited patiently and gave him 2 whole days (Tuesday the 16th and Wednesday, the 17th). No call back from either one of them. My husband called around 9am, Thursday, September 18th, 2025. No answer, left a message. Sent email around 2pm on Thursday, September 18th, 2025. Tried a different route. Still no response. Sent message on Friday, September 19th, 2025 on Facebook messenger. Still no response. I tried all avenues before I did this post. I've attached pictures of the warping and also the paint can that Dustin purchaed saying NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE ON VINYL. We are out $5,400 and they are not very professional to ignore a customer like this.
