DriveAway Rentals / Revit Rent-A-Car

Not rented car from them yet. However. Need to leave my truck for repair in a shop located 10 min from them. All other companies refused to do dropoff/pickup service for me, even if I prepay them. DriveAway agreed right away so I can get back home, and even told me it wouldn't be a problem to extend the rent if my repair takes longer than expected. I am not picky about the rental car model or age, just to get the work done, with minimum time and money wasted. So far, they have earned my business, and will make reservation with them when the repair is scheduled, thanks. I may even advise the repair shop to recommend a business cooperation with pick-up/drop-off/rental service for other customers like me in the future, or at least contact info exchange.

Why would you rent someone a car like this. I really need to get my kids to daycare I need a car for a few days but this is ridiculous. 388.00 it smells like cigarettes my kids can’t touch anything in here.

Guys…. I NEVER leave reviews. This is how we picked up our $488 rental today. Our first rental got cancelled from the airport and had no other choice but to rent it. The owner of the company just called and offered us a $30 refund for a half day of rental. A picture speaks a thousand words

If I could give a -5 I would. This experience was absolutely horrendous to say the least. We had an appointment at 10:30am and the office manager did not show until about 11:15am (with a friend) taking his time to meet with customers. When he finally called on us it was about 12:30pm. After reviewing papers, he took us out to the car and I was fully taken aback. The hood was terribly rusting off, the front bumper was hanging and loose, the ac was NOT working (it's June), the check engine light was on, the tire pressure light was on, there were holes ALL in the ceiling, it had 125k + miles on it, and it wreaked of cigarette smoke. I needed a vehicle to drive out of town while mine was in the shop - I drove this car about 3 minutes down the road and that was enough for me to turn right back around and return it (I felt that it truly might breakdown in the 3 minute span of me leaving and coming back; it was driving like a damn lawnmower). If you are renting cars out, you are meant to keep up with and take care of them, right?!? This was genuinely the NASTIEST car that I have ever taken a seat in. Following this, I went to Enterprise and it was the opposite experience. The car was SPOTLESS, so clean, filled with gas, NO lights on, AC worked wonderfully, it had apple car play, smelled great, and I felt 1000% more safe (aka the bare minimum and it was CHEAPER might I add). GO SOMEWHERE ELSE if you can - this man is absolutely robbing you for POS vehicles.

Wow what great service and their rates are incredible. I laugh at some of the few poor reviews they have. It's like as nice as they are and as much as they work with you how are you still wanting to talk poorly about them? Makes me wonder what type of person is leaving the review. They don't even ask for a major credit card or credit check and they don't charge for every little thing or nickel and dime you for miles and such. Even after hours if the line is closed you can still text them and they'll respond. They clearly care and are dedicated. It is no surprise their cars go quickly they are legit and recommended. Find out for yourself.

I’ve been dealing with this rental company for a few years now this is my third time coming to get a car and vehicle from them again. Rob is always dependable honest and always his accommodated me and got me going on the time needing a car. He is awesome. This is the best to go to for a rental and by far the best Rental agency in the low country of Charleston.

Drive away is exactly what you should do before visiting. Pros: -Customer service wise the one dude not in the shop taking calls is pretty relaxed. Not lazy, just relaxed. He's not tempered so he's fine. Forgot his name unfortunately. - It's convenient for those with no credit Cons: -As for the cars... Phew the car they gave me smelled so bad i had to roll the windows down for the majority of my trip. Theres no scent spray that could remove it. I booked two weeks in advance and srill gave me their worst car yet even though they had 4 decently rough looking Prius in the lot. -The two front tires had punctures so i had to fill it with air three times and was worried it would pop on the way to my destination and back. The dude in the office you meet with poured oil in the engine but didn't check the dipstick. What a gentleman. -The car front bumper was basically busted and even during scheduled hours during the return, they said no one is there the last two hours. Pretty convenient to charge someone a full day and not a late fee, but i guess their late fee is a full day rental, even after 2 hours being late. Just do your best to get a low credit, 200 deposit, card and use it on budget because at least you'll get a nicer car and not have to worry about a full day fee returning it a couple hours later. - They said they'd wave a scratch fee even though there's 6 others on the car and part of the left side mirror plastic was busted and half the front grill was trashed but thanks for noticing one scratch. Please take many pictures of the car because they didn't have a sheet on the overall look of the car before driving off so they might pin something on you. Overall: Do yourself a favor and avoid this place altogether. Unless you're desperate because that's exactly what I was when renting from here.

Great service, had some issues with the windshield wipers. Not only did the mechanic come to me. They also made up for the day and hours, I was unable to use the vehicle. Definitely going back a third time

If you want a quick get around town type of vehicle no hassle as long as you have what’s needed in order to rent you came to the right place. The owner is very nice and cordial which made the transaction smooth. The prices were the best in North Charleston.
