Unilateral anterior Cross bite or one side front reverse occlusion is a problem that can be seen frequently at all ages especially with young patients.
This problem not only causes aesthetic problem ,it also cause a problem in the bone and gingiva surrounding the upper and lower teeth causing gum recession (movement of the gingival down in the lower arch and up in the upper arch )and bone loss as seen in the photo.
The child should be directly referred to a Specialized Orthodontist to treat the problem and allow for normal bite and position of the teeth.
